Giving Old Jeans New Life: Sequin Pockets in an Hour

Hello, fellow crafters! Today I want to share a super simple way to refresh old jeans with sequins. 😉

You'll need a bare minimum of materials and tools:
• jeans;
• sequin fabric (in my case, these are two-tone reversible sequins—it creates such an interesting effect!);
• scissors;
• thread;
• needle;
• pencil;
• cardboard for creating a pocket template, or a ready-made template.

This makeover will take you an hour at most!
To start, trace the pocket outline onto cardboard, cut out the template, transfer it onto the sequin fabric (on the wrong side; it's usually backed with chiffon or knit), and cut out two pocket pieces. No seam allowances needed!

Pin the pieces to the pockets using sewing pins and sew them on by hand with a blind stitch to the outside of the pockets, right along the edge.

Important! My fabric didn't shed, as I intentionally bought high-quality material. Sometimes sequins shed heavily after cutting. In that case, it is still better to cut out the pieces with seam allowances of up to 1 centimeter and sew them to the pockets with the edges folded inward.
The best part about this embellishment is the ability to quickly cut the fabric off without damaging the appearance of the jeans. 😉
