What to do with assorted beads and leftover trim?

I inherited a large box of beads from my niece, who used to be into beadwork but gave it up. Many of the bags contain mixed beads, and some have cheap Chinese beads. The latter, as it turned out, have beads of different shapes and sizes; I tried using them for embroidery and brooches, but the work turned out messy.

I couldn't bring myself to throw away such a treasure, so I searched online and was completely charmed 😍. Substandard beads are perfect for bags, totes, and clutches in an ethnic style. Here is an example of a handbag that I absolutely loved!

Here, strips of inexpensive trim are simply sewn on, and the entire piece is decorated with leftover beads. The cheapest plastic rhinestones are sewn onto the fabric and then outlined with beads. I tried this technique a little bit on a piece of denim.
