Designer Patterns: A Sore Subject
Embroidery jealousy—when you want your wall to feature not a "pop" DIM kit, but something rare, unique, and yours alone. That is exactly why stitchers turn to those who create designer patterns. And there is a sea of such designers now. It seems like everyone should be happy—both the authors and the crafters—but there is an unpleasant catch in this situation.
At DIMENSIONS, for example, any pattern undergoes a test stitch after careful development and final approval. As a result, at least 5 (!) pilot versions are created, from which the best is chosen, and individual fragments are refined if necessary.
How is a pattern most often born for an independent designer? A few days to find an attractive image, another week to draw it in a special program—and the product is immediately put up for sale. Yes, at a very affordable price. But without any guarantees that the embroidery will match the advertised image.
## How to avoid disappointment?
- pay attention to the number of shades—in a well-developed medium-sized picture, there are usually about 30-40;
- monitor confetti—the number should not be critical;
- look at the appropriateness and neatness of the backstitch.
But the best option—*be patient and wait for the first stitched piece to appear online. Just to be sure :))*

Вышивальная ревность – когда хочется, чтобы у тебя на стене красовался не «попсовый» ДИМ, а нечто редкое, уникальное и только твое. Именно за этим и приходят вышивальщицы к тем, кто создает авторские схемы. И таких дизайнеров сейчас – море. Вроде бы, все должны быть довольны – и авторы, и рукодельницы, но есть в этой ситуации неприятный подвох.
В компании DIMENSIONS, например, любая схема после тщательной разработки и окончательного утверждения проходит тестовый отшив. В результате получается не менее 5-ти (!) пилотных вариантов, из которых выбирают лучший, а отдельные фрагменты, при необходимости, дорабатывают.
Как чаще всего рождается схема у частного автора: несколько дней на поиск привлекательной картинки, еще неделька на прорисовку в специальной программе – и продукт тут же выставляется на продажу. Да, по вполне доступной цене. Но без каких либо гарантий, что вышивка будет соответствовать заявленному изображению.
Как избежать разочарования?
- обратить внимание на количество оттенков – в хорошо проработанной картине среднего размера их обычно около 30-40;
- промониторить одиночки – число не должно быть критическим;
- посмотреть на уместность и аккуратность бэка.
Но самый лучший вариант – набраться терпения и дождаться появления в сети первого отшива. Чтобы наверняка ))

It's the same story with embroidery patterns and kits – for my money, I want a quality product and a pleasant relaxation while working on my favorite embroidery. Not to rip out already stitched sections and redo a designer's mistakes. Well, something like that 😎
