Which fabric should I choose for ribbon embroidery?
Lately, I've been really drawn to ribbon embroidery. I started trying it on Aida cloth, but the result doesn't look great because the grid is very visible. Could you suggest which fabric is best for ribbon embroidery? And if I embroider on satin or a similar soft fabric, will the needle holes be very noticeable? Will the fabric fray?

Последнее время меня очень сильно привлекает вышивка лентами. Начинала пробовать на канве, но вид получается не очень, так как очень видны эти клеточки. Подскажите, какую ткань лучше брать для ленточной вышивки? И если вышивать на атласе, или подобной мягкой ткани, не будут ли сильно видны проколы? Ткань не разойдется?
Embroider on evenweave fabric 😉 In one design I used a mixed technique: cross stitches, backstitch, laid threads and ribbons. A bit of everything ) For the base I used Lugana25 by Zweigart – it's soft, pleasant to the touch and not very dense. The ribbons passed through easily, and the threads closed up behind them without any separation. It turned out perfect
