Cotton-blend yarn for toys. Part 2
In the article Cotton-blend yarn for toys. Part 1. we already discussed cotton-blend yarn used for crocheting toys. This is a continuation of the review of similar yarn from various manufacturers. Vita Lira (60% cotton, 40% acrylic) is a thin, durable, tightly twisted yarn with a large palette of shades and suitable properties. There are 150 meters per 50 grams, and it is slightly thinner than YarnArt Jeans.
YarnArt Cotton Soft is as thin as crochet thread, with 600 meters per 100 grams. The composition is 55% cotton and 45% acrylic. It does not pill, holds its shape well, and is suitable for small toys or wire-frame dolls.
Pekhorka Lakonichnaya is a beautiful, pleasant-to-the-touch yarn. The thread is of medium thickness (100 grams and 212 meters), 50/50 cotton and acrylic. It is used for knitting clothes and toys. The thread itself is twisted in a way typical for Pekhorka: a twist on a twist.
Nako Calico (100 grams/245 meters) is similar to Jeans in terms of thread twist, density, and the resulting fabric.
Drops Cotton Light (50/50 cotton and acrylic) is a thread similar to Jeans, but slightly thicker (50 grams per 105 meters). Beautiful and vibrant colors are complemented by the quality of yarn and thread twist characteristic of Drops.
At the very beginning, when I didn't understand what kind of yarn I needed, what was comfortable to crochet with and what wasn't, an article like this would have been useful. I would be glad if you could respond and add any other cotton-blend yarn you have used.
