I want to sew an anorak for my husband, but I don't know where to find a good pattern or where to start. If you have any experience with this, please let me know!

Take a look, the author provided a universal pattern there.
The style of all anoraks is roughly the same, no need to reinvent the wheel here — it's a comfortable, practical jacket with or without a zipper.
I also found some pattern options for size 46 and size 50.
The sizes on them are indicated without seam allowances.
For the fabric, a blend is usually chosen. Fleece, velosoft, or knit fabric will work. If you need an anorak for your husband for fishing or hunting, then it's better to use dense nylon, bolonia, or polyamide fabrics. There is also cotton muslin with a polyurethane coating. Well, if you really want to go all out, look for ripstop — it's a special fabric based on cotton or synthetics, but with a reinforced nylon or polyester thread woven into it. It makes for a very water-resistant material.
You will need 2.5 - 3.0 m (depending on the size) with a width of 0.9 m. You will also need two 20 cm non-separable zippers.
