What surprised me most about this piece were the handmade tassels with cords: we had a topic on how to make them: (/ru/learning/dopolnyaem-naryad-shem-shnur-s-kistyami) I would never have thought that the same method would work with such dense materials 🙃

I don't think it's very dense. Most likely it's boiled wool. And it comes in different densities, just like the knit fabric (the white ribbing) here, which could be 100% wool, or a blend, or acrylic. If the knit is thin, it will hang like a rag. It's not even worth doing. I paid attention to this and the seam finishing - it's the simplest zigzag.
And the tassel is designed a bit differently here. The strips were stacked on top of each other, folded, a cord was pulled through the loop, and all of this was secured with a strip. A soft, elastic material makes it possible to do this. We only play with the number of strips and the width.
