To bring this project to life, you will need a soft fabric that is pleasant to the touch (such as velvet), as well as a dense base—for example, thick felt. And a cute little box—you can't do without it 😉

Cut the felt into strips, roll them into rolls, secure them with pins, and be sure to test-fit them in the box—the base should slide in without effort.

Using a scrap of scrap fabric or paper, make a pattern for the velvet cover. It should completely cover the base plus allow for a couple of centimeters of seam allowance. Cut out one velvet piece for each base piece.
