Making a Useful and Practical Father's Day Gift

On June 21, don't forget to wish your husbands, dads, grandfathers, and the rest of the men in your life a Happy Father's Day. But how can we delight our dear men? I suggest making a practical and useful tool organizer case. A case like this is much more practical than various boxes—especially plastic ones, which can crack or break at any moment. Plus, making the case requires minimal time and sewing skills.

To make this gift, you will need:
• craft felt;
• thin sheet cork;
• sewing supplies;
• loop for the fastener.
From the piece of felt, cut out a 28/18 cm rectangle (the dimensions can be adjusted depending on what you plan to store in the organizer).

From the sheet cork, cut out 4 rectangles: 13.5/6 cm, 10/10 cm, 5/10 cm, and 7.5/11 cm. Just like with the base, the dimensions can be adjusted.

The square piece will serve as a protective flap. To give it a neat, finished look, round the corners of the flap.

Place the pieces onto the base and pin them in place.

Sew the pockets of the case along three sides, and stitch the flap only across the top.

Stitch lines across the pockets, dividing them into several sections.

Cut the outer piece of the case from sheet cork to match the size of the felt base.

Stitch the assembly together around the perimeter, 2-3 mm from the edge.

Make markings on the right side, dividing the base into three parts.

From the remaining cork, cut a 30/4 cm strip and sew it along the marked lines on the case.
