How to Knit Unique Slippers on Two Needles

Step 1

Never knit socks before? Does working on five needles not inspire you? 😕Then this pattern is for you! Simple slippers are easy to knit on two needles.

Step 2

What you need:

*wool-blend yarn for the main fabric, 100 g per 120 m – 100g;

*yarn of the same composition in a contrasting color for the trim;

*No4 knitting needles;

*No3 crochet hook;

*scissors.

How to knit

Cast on 10 sts with the main yarn. Knit 10 rows in garter stitch. You should get a 6 cm by 6 cm square.

Step 3

If you did not get this size, switch to thicker/thinner needles depending on your measurements.

Continuing the row, cast on another 19 sts onto the working needle. Continue knitting across all stitches and work 16 rows (= 6 cm).

Step 4

Bind off 9 sts along the left edge, and cast on 9 sts along the right edge.

Step 5

Work another 16 rows, then bind off all stitches.

Knit the second piece.

Please note: there is no need to make a mirrored piece because our pattern is reversible.

Assembly

Fold in one edge—see photo. Using the contrasting yarn, crochet around the edge in crab stitch: first work one side, turn, and work the second side.

Step 6

Fold in the second side—see photo.

Step 7

Join the edges with a crochet hook.

Sew the heel and tongue using the main yarn.

Crochet around the top edge of the tongue and heel.

That's it! The slipper is finished!
