Ganutell Flower — Simple Weave

Step 1

The ganutell technique is so unique and versatile that it gives both experienced crafters and beginners just learning the craft a chance to express their imagination.

I want to show a completely simple weave that is accessible enough for crafting your very first pieces in this technique.

Step 2

Let's make a beautiful flower.

You will need:
• “Gamma” aluminum wire - 0.4 mm diameter;
• aluminum wire — 1 mm diameter;
• thread for the flower — color of your choice;
• green thread for the stem and leaf;
• pearlescent bead, 8 mm diameter - 1 pc.;
• knitting needle;
• scissors.

Directions

Wind a coil around the knitting needle. Determine the length based on the size of the flower petals.

Step 3

Remove the coil from the knitting needle and insert the thicker wire into it. The ends of this wire should extend past both sides of the coil.

Step 4

Bend the wire and coil into a petal shape. Twist the wire ends tightly and neatly together.

Step 5

Tie the thread to the base of the petal and begin weaving. Weave horizontally between the turns of the coil.

Step 6

Fill the entire petal.

Step 7

Then run the thread vertically across the entire petal and secure it at the base.

Step 8

Make six (or as many as you like) petals. Wrap the base with green thread.

Step 9

Thread the wire through the bead and twist the ends.

Step 10

Gather the petals together and insert the bead into the center.

Step 11

Wrap the main stem with green thread.

Neatly arrange the petals and admire your work!
