Crochet Slippers on Ready-Made Soles
Step 1
These slippers are a great option for home. To save time, I used ready-made soles and did not crochet over the entire sole; I added only the upper.

Use bulky yarn and choose a crochet hook 1–2 sizes smaller than the size stated on the yarn label. This helps create a dense fabric that holds its shape.

The author used medium-stiffness insoles 1 size larger because they are easier to pierce with an awl. Reinforced insoles are harder to pierce.
Making the Slippers

Make holes with an awl 0.5 cm from the edge and work single crochet stitches around the sole: make 2 stitches in each hole. Use care when piercing firm insoles with an awl.

Next, make 6 hexagonal motifs (3 for each slipper). Adjust the motif to fit so that eight times the length of one hexagon side equals the full insole perimeter.
