Beautiful DIY Satin Ribbon Flower

Another beautiful and unusual flower you can make yourself is a kanzashi hellebore. It is perfect for decorating hair elastics and hair clips. 😉

For this project, you will need:
• 2.5 cm blue ribbon;
• 4 cm green ribbon;
• ruler;
• sharp scissors;
• sewing pins;
• plastic stamens (or you can simply embroider the center of the flower with thread or beads, or sew in a bead);
• clear "Crystal" glue or a glue gun;
• tweezers;
• candle.

Tutorial

Cut the blue ribbon into 4 cm pieces (five pieces per flower).

Next, fold one of the short sides in half and seal it together using a candle. Turn the edges outward and seal them again with the candle. You should get a neat double fold, as shown in the photo:

Cut the end of the ribbon diagonally from the center toward the edges. Seal it with the flame again.

Form a fold on the other end of the ribbon, but in the opposite direction. Just like with the previous piece, turn the edges outward and seal them again.

Repeat the same process for the remaining petals.

Now for the assembly. Sew two petals together, and separately sew the other three. Place the stamens in the center and sew the petals together.

Moving on to the leaves. Cut 3-4 pieces of wide rich green ribbon, 5 cm each.

Fold in half, mark the cut line from the corner to the center, and cut off the corner.

Seal the raw edges with the flame.

You can make another leaf from the leftover scrap.

Attach the finished leaves to the bottom of the flower; if desired, cover the seams with a neat piece of green satin ribbon.
