BeginnerFreeA baktus, or knitted triangle scarf, is a stylish little accessory for fall days. It can be worn in different ways and paired with outerwear, a blouse, shirt, or cardigan. I suggest knitting a baktus from contrasting shades of yarn. It is an excellent option when you do not have enough yarn for a full garment or want an original accessory that coordinates with different pieces in your wardrobe.
The highlight of this design is the combination of three patterns and the smooth transition from one color to another.
How to knit:
1. Begin with three stitches in light yarn using the "openwork diamonds" pattern.
Work increases at the end of every right-side row. After you have knitted 1/4 of the scarf width (4 diamonds high), switch to the second pattern.
2. Introduce yarn in a different color. To do this, modify the finished diamond chart slightly. Wherever the chart calls for a center stitch, a yarn-over, and knit 2 together, work them with dark yarn as purls. Work the remaining stitches as knits in the light yarn. Continue for 4 diamonds in height, remembering the increases.
3. Move on to the solid-color part of the baktus. Knit it in garter stitch with dark yarn, but work decreases in reverse order.
You can knit a hat using the same pattern to make an original set for cold days.
