A Bag Made from Unwanted Plastic Bags: A Practical Option for Recycling "Trash"

Many of us try to avoid using plastic bags, but what should you do if they have already piled up at home? To avoid polluting the environment, you can make good use of even the most disposable bags, such as bread packaging. If you want to crochet a bag from plastic bags for shopping or walks, it makes sense to buy colored trash bags—you will need 2-3 packs for one accessory. I am offering a version of a bag crocheted from individual motifs, plus a small bonus—a few other interesting models.

## Workflow

First, cut our bags into strips about 2 cm wide. You don't need to tie them together; you can just wind them into a ball.

Next, crochet the elements using the strips, folded in half (for thin bags) or single (for thicker bags), following the pattern. We will need 24 of these squares.

OPTION: You can choose any suitable pattern for the square pieces!

## Handles for the Crocheted Bag

This model is made with handles attached to rings. You can buy them at a craft store. Cover 2/3 of the ring tightly with single crochet stitches. Fold the corner of one of the 4 top diamonds, insert the ring into it, and sew it on securely.

For the handles, chain 10 and crochet strips 40 cm long. Wrap them around the rings and sew them in place.
