A very unusual watercolor has recently appeared on the art supplies market.
The VIVIVA brand is a small Indian company that produces exclusively watercolor paints using their own recipe. According to the manufacturers, they use only natural pigments, and all the paints are primarily single-pigment. The colors are quite vibrant, pick up well, and have generally received good reviews from artists.
What is interesting is the format of the watercolor – it is a small notebook made of thick paper with a thin layer of paint applied to it. You pick up the watercolor directly from these sheets. The set is very compact and, as intended by the creators, is designed for travel and plein air painting. There is a special backing between the watercolor sheets to prevent the paint from smudging.
